FUTURE
New construction
In early 2008 Naber Plastics B.V. started the construction of new business premises at the Haven VII industrial area in Waalwijk. Haven VII is an eco-industrial area, which means that maximum account is taken of the environment. The new company premises will include a number of innovative solutions that are appropriate to the ecological philosophy of the industrial area. For example, the cooling system will consist of a combination of an aquiver system and adiabatic cooling. The remnant heat will be completely used to heat and cool the offices and warehouses of the adjacent businesses. The toilets are flushed with rainwater collected on the premises (waste water toilets) and our staff can take their breaks outdoors in one of the walled gardens. The noise level in our new production areas will be restricted to a minimum, partially due to the use of sound-absorbent ceilings and walls. Our production waste is 100 percent recycled.
Certifications
In view of the importance that Naber Plastics B.V. attaches to the environment operations will take place at the new site in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard for environment management systems. In addition, as the bulk of business operations will be devoted to food packaging and disposables, a start will be made on the implementation of ISO 22000, which is geared to 'food packaging' in combination with the NEN-EN 15593.
Technical
The machinery at our new site will consist of 80 injection-moulding machines, with a closing force up to 1,500 tons. A great deal of use is made of completely electric injection-moulding machines (energy-saving). The total surface area of our building is approximately 28,000 m2. The annual production capacity is 30,000 tons of plastic.
